Poems While You Wait is joining us for Gear Night on June 27th, 6-9pm. We'll have a poetry writing station, rare erotic poetry from vintage kinky magazines for your eyes only, and a live reading with Ramrose and the Leatherbound Lit poetry workshop group from 7:30 to 8pm. Free admission and free music 🎷, drinks 🧃, and snacks 🍪. Meet local kinksters, request a poem, and check out the latest exhibits on gay spanking and religious art. All gear (or no gear) is welcome... leather, rubber, furries, pups, sports gear, jocks, drag, suits, and whatever makes you feel hot! There are no wrong answers. Poems While You Wait is a collective of poets and their vintage typewriters who provide an unexpected and unpretentious encounter with poetry. The process is simple: give us your name, give us the topic that you would like us to write a poem about (funny or sad, sexy or serious, big or small), give us a $10 donation by cash/credit/Venmo (all of which goes to the nonprofit book publisher Rose Metal Press), and go enjoy Gear Night. Upon your return you will have a custom-made, one-of-a-kind original poem to keep for yourself or to give as a gift. These programs are free and open to everyone ages 18 and over.
